SMG on the e46 M3 had it

Flip off DSC, engage mode 6 - hold the SMG lever forward, press the gas, revs climb to 2500'ish (don't remember the exact rev count) let the stick go and you're off

Maybe it's similar?

It was 1800 rpm for the E46 and for the DCT it is 5000-6000, adjustable.

be prepared for A LOT of wear and tear, very quickly, if you use it frequently.

I tried it on mine twice and prob won't use it again. When u drop the hammer, it makes the most godawful sound. I felt bad for the car.

Anyway, put the car into S5 mode. Turn off the DSC and then that'll unlock S6. Put the car in S6, foot on the brake, push the shifter forward like you're upshifting and hold it there until the checkered flag appears on the gear indicator screen. Pedal to the floor and let go of the shifter when u want to launch. Keep it 100% pinned and it'll shift at redline until you get scared and/or let off. U can adjust the launch rpms on the cruise control stalk.

The adjustment of the RPM's on the cruise stalk is a good idea

BUT, when the e46 M3 SMG debuted, it was said that:

Due to the Euro e46 M3 launch control revving up to 3K RPM's it would only allow the car to use LC once every hour and after 30 times used the car would likely suffer clutch and/or other mechanical issue, thus voiding the BMW warranty... so be careful! That was only 3k RPM - And all your LC's are stored in the memory of the cars computer

The new owner's manual doesn't say anything about voiding the warranty, but they do warn of "premature stress on the drivetrain". And you can only use it once every 15 min with a minimum amount of driving in between. Otherwise, you'll get "transmission overheat" warning if you try to reload too quickly. Some goon had his rear diff just "fall off" and a few days before he was posting how he was trying launches (with a 6MT) @ 3k rpms over and over and couldn't get it right. Too much "wheel hop" was his problem. NO more LC for me, but it was fun to try.

I have a European spec E46 M3 SMG and have launched it almost half a dozen times within the space of half an hour without the car limiting me in any way at all. Its only a 3.4k rpm launch, its not that bad...
