i dont feel like theres too much stuff to do to it! obviously the engine is perfect but i love CSLs and i think it looks great without too many aggresive exterior parts.

I've been thinking of an HPF kit myself. How is the traction? I assume that you are baking the tires when the turbo kicks in.

1st gear is useless in any mode....
2nd gear is half traction half spinning in pump and pretty much useless with meth or race fuel
3rd gear grips great with pump, spins but grabs with meth and spins race fuel pretty good
4th, 5th, 6th just throw you in your seat and you hang on for the ride

If you don't just hammer the throttle you can get some good acceleration down low you just have to be easy with it.
Evan
PS- This is with ****ty stock 255 conti's... I am sure with some good 275/285's on the back it will be better!

First off love the car, I love the HPF M3's and what theyve done witht he kit. Put some 275 radials or slicks on the thing and get some real traction and start enjoying the cars power in the lower gears.

i have never seen or heard of these cars running those times. quickest e46 m3 that is verified on dragtimes.com is drews vf supercharged m3 that runs 11.5@122mph. only a few running high 11s.

Better you know now than on the street bro... these cars are the real deal. They have tons of traction problems... but once they hook up, would really surprise you if you don't know. All the stage 2's would walk an 11.5@122... they all trap over 130... hard to find video online other than just racing on the streets, i've run a couple myself. Here is straight from HPF website:

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/prod...rbo_Kits/11037

They have a video there of an 11 flat at 137mph... but i've heard (no video yet) that they got a stage 3 that ran like 10.7 at over 140 trap...

they have a video but no video yet? keep in mind traps increase if you dont have traction. same can be said when you hook your traps decrease. i am just going by what is verified. i used to own of these cars before and they are not good stop light racers. it takes huge amounts of power just to run a decent time and even then they are not consistent and could cost you over 25k easy plus a good wheel and slick setup. i still stand my ground that there is only a handfull of built turbo m3's running in the 11s. what cars is "they" that you speak of? if there was that many you would see more on dragtimes.com. (you have to send your timeslip in to post numbers) not trying to argue, just interested in the discussion. i still like these cars and its impressive but i dont see the value. just my 2 cents.

i said i know they have huuuge traction problems, and i'm a porsche owner, thus thats where my money goes, but i'm just giving HPF props for what they are able to accomplish with that car... the video is 2nd row on the far right on the link i posted previously. cheers.

Rob is the guy who ran 11.00 flat. That is with a stage 2 turbo set up. He's basically the only turbo owner that has spent some solid time at the strip. Keep in mind that this is STOCK motor with a completely bolt on turbo kit hitting 625 whp on race/meth. You can not deny that is damn impressive on a high compression 3.2l six. As far as the 1/4 mile times, most of the people that have these kits have not spent the time at the track. They haven't tried different tire/suspension set ups, and the ever so great driver mod. You will see the stage 2 cars in the high 10's. Now as far as real life statistics, Scott (racemx-m3) put down a verified 5.85, 60-130 time with stage 2.5.
