What do you think ?
What do you think ?
Hi Everyone,
Been a member for a while now but this is my first post.
If something is wrong, just lemme know !
Anywayz,
I'm having this problems with my bumpers and I need your opinions.
What do you think of the "gaps" that I'm experiencing after fitment ?
Is that "normal", "tolerable" ?
According to AC, it is.
I just don't think it seems right. Maybe its just me.

Can't tell you if that is normal, but all body pieces should be test fit before being painted. That way you really know what it will look like. I know some people will have the gaps filled and molded when they install like on your front bumper add on pieces. I don't know about the rear pieces. It looks like you need the gap so the hatch opens and shuts. Maybe that could be adjusted.
Did you say they are AC schnitzer pieces? And you are in L.A.? I would go to CEC and show them and ask them what they think.

Thanks for the information. I should advise my bodyshop about that.
The Schnitzer front bumper on the X5 is a little bit tricky since it curves around the body where usually an add-on or full bumper is a straight up fitment. Any slight imperfections can be hidden beneath the headlights or hood.
The comment in regards to "tolerable" and "normal" was actually AC's importer.
I emailed Schnitzer these pictures directly.
They said "Upon further quality control inspection, it is very unfortunate that we found out the whole batch of bumpers manufactured were all defective"
They are in the process of manufacturing a new batch of bumpers and will be replacing them as soon as it arrives.

Yes, they are AC Schnitzer pieces.
This is for my car in Asia.
It is bought through AC's importer in Singapore.
