Im looking at getting a used 3 series. In a bit of a quandry though. I can get an 06 330i for $18,000 with 55k miles, but out of warranty. Or, I can spend $26,000 for an 07 335i that is CPO. Now that's $8000 more, and about $130/month in payment.

1) Would you pay more for the 335i and CPO warranty?

2) If you would take the 330i, what auto warranty company would you choose?

This is going to be my daily driver FYI. Just cant decide which to get.

Yes, $8k isn't that much more considering 335 is CPO'ed and a step up from 330.

I don't think the warranty should be your deciding factor. I think the CAR should be your factor.

Doesn't sound like you are a 'mod guy' and want or need 400+ hp out of a car.

I just helped a friend get a 06 330 vert with ZHP package for $18k. The car had 80k miles.

Personally, I don't think the warranty is a big issue on a 330. Just budget a few bucks for maintenance and drive it. Most of the little things that will 'go wrong' with a na BMW usually aren't covered by warranties anyway. If you had a V10 with SMG...different story.

So my advice is get the CAR that you want. There is nothing wrong with getting the 330, and having an extra 8k in you pocket.

Enjoy whichever car you choose!

You can now purchase an extended warranty through BMW if you NOT the original owner This was just changed in the last month. The extended warranty is essintally the same as CPO but you have a choice of deductible ($0, $50, $100) as opposed to CPO which carries a $50 deductible. I have been selling new and CPO BMW's for over 5 and half years. If you need help PM me. I hope this helps.
