it's been raining here for weeks, no problem with water in the engine compartment.

The wing is from the E36 M3 racing car, adjustable. It is meant for track use, not to make you people like it (because I really don't care)

Carbon CSL bumper saves 20lbs and creates downforce.

Right now, this is my daily driver/track car, so I have to sacrifice a few things to make it work for both

If you don't care then why did you post pics and say this

"Wanted to post some pictures of my new carbon panel for my M3. I've added these to reduce weight and gain some downforce at the track, and they do look good too (bonus). Waiting on some stainless mesh for the hood. Hope you like"

GTR hood was meant for the GTR which used a modified 4.0L V8 engine with dual air intakes ala S62 engine. The vents provided fresh air for the intake. In your case won't do much for track use. A straight CF hood would have suffieced in weight savings. Your "cold air" intake is I hope using the hole in the CSL bumper.

The bumper of the CSL is sweet, and IMO using an E36 engineered product on an E46 without proper wind tunnel tests is like bolting on a piece of wood to the rear deck to act like a spoiler. You should have went with the remainder CSL parts aka the trunk which is carbon fibre and sports a more aggressive lip than the standard E46 M3 trunk lip spoiler does. You are most likely affecting the aerodynamics with teh huge coffee table in the back and doing nothing for downforce. I bet you can get equally as much downforce using a CSL trunk than with that horrid thing.

too funny, the wt loss accomplished by removing those door handles is minimal especially considering the glass sunroof. If you're going to go all out, might as well remove it and lower the center of gravity.

what Greco said, take the wing off if it wasn't developed in a windtunnel.

what too cool if there is no turbo? M3's normally overheat w/stock cooling?

The CSL Trunk is plastic, not carbon fiber........

Mila, I think you should paint the hood, and get rid of the spoiler, and your car will look sick.....If you need any parts, I might be parting my car out soon.......-Scott

Yes that hood is bad for rain...
How do I know??
A guy down here had the same one and his engine was hydralocked (sp?) within 2 weeks!! He put the stock hood back on, flatbeded it to BMW and got a new engine...
Be careful...
Evan
PS-If the wing is functional its ok, but otherwise....
