Warranty Question

To all M3 owners, do any mods such as chip, exhaust, headers, supercharger void your warranty automatically? I would love to hear especially from supercharged M3 owners

This isn't a question specific to M3 or even BMW owners.

It comes down to whether the specific problem can be traced back to a specific modification. If so, warranty denied. Beyond that, it depends on the dealer, the problem, and how flexible they are. Nobody here can answer the question without knowing at least the specific dealer you might be taking the car to.

Will they void the warranty just because I have modifications? No problem involved

They will not void warranty just because you have modifications. There would have to be a problem and they would have to be able to prove that a specific mod caused the problem.

This is my has been my experience anyway. I had a 2003 325i heavily modded (about 22k in mods) and i now drive a 08 M3 modded to the max (40k in mods). No problems so far...knock on wood...

Only Dinan performance parts are authorized officially by BMW USA and will not void your manufacturers warranty. I'm waiting for a release of an ECU upgrade for the 335i N55 engine so I can install it in my car and not void the warranty.
