Called my salesman today and we discussed the US version of Launch Control. The good news is that it will obviously never void the warranty, but the bad news is that 4000 rpm dumps can't be done like the Euro market cars. Given our legal system and the fools who would prolly plow a Launch Control rip into the car parked in front of him at the stoplight, I do understand BMWs decision to disable Euro Launch control on US cars.

That said, I'm not a foo, and I will launch my car hard. If this is considered abuse, then I might as well buy a Malibu. I'm just gonna wait for the six-speed, allegedly the first at the dealer.

I've been very happy with Greg Hurley at Classic BMW in Richardson, Texas. Their number is 972-918-1100 and they're straight shooters.

 

I'll be interested to see how the 6 speed gear ratios change the performance of the car, if at all. Congrats on the order.

No, I originally ordered an April Build for May delivery. That is not a car that I turned down.

Scott, I'll post full list of options later. Ordered one of the silvers (similar to Titanium), Full Leather Merino with M seats, heated front and rear seats, heads up display, sunshade.
