The new E92 M3 will probably look something like this...
that is false.
the only thing similar between the new E92 M3 engine and the E39 M5 engine is that they are both V8s producing 400 BHP.
the new engine is the current E60 V10 engine minus two cylinders resulting in, presumably, well.... if the V10 is 5 L then the V8 is ... 4 L.
The prior V8 was 5 L. Hence this one is smaller, lighter, yet just as powerful = better weight distribution, probably lower center of mass, etc etc etc

And you can't compare a magazine number to factory numbers, way to many different factors.

That must be running 6psi. 335 isnt going to be cheap though.
According to the BMWUSA.COM website the e46 m3 does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.
So 4.8 versus 5.3 seconds is 1/2 a second faster. That's a big difference in my book stock vs stock.
Im not saying that the US site is lying, but they have used their own figure. The BMW international site provides a more like for like comparison. It states that the E46 M3 does the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.2 seconds and the E92 335 does the same in 5.3 seconds. If BMW USA wants to say 4.8 for marketing reasons then fine, but Id rather compare like for like.

Also very strange that the NA spec M3 with 10bhp LESS than the euro spec version gets a better acc. time on BMW's own sites!!
E90 spotted in Munich with probably the new M-aerokit. No M-badges though, neither inside nor outside.
Anyway here ya go
