Whats Up All .. Ordered a 2007 M6 3months ago I was suposed 2 get the car on sept 1st.. They been callin me every week with an excuse. They told me I would have the car on Friday 2day.. Then they called 2day told me since its one of the first in NYC 07 that the law is gov. holds the car at the port 10more days 4 inspection.. I think im getting FU..... Im pissed I talked 2 my Benz deal i bought my renntech from and she told me they prob. sold my spot 2 someone 4 over price and held me up a month and a half 4 the next spot... Have you got the VIN? If not, go down there and ask for the VIN, if the car is built they will be able to give you the VIN and its status. I'd go up the food chain at the dealer until you get a straight answer.

 

ya ask for a vin then ask if you can go see it at the docks..

 

or maybe they had a little accident during shipment.. not uncommon for new cars to have had parts on it already replaced... make sure you ask that and inspect it front to back, most of the time it looks oem and you wont notice a difference

 

Did you order a car or a spot? this is my problem for not depositing on a new M3, they want $5000 just to be on the list

 

Talked 2 owner 2day He told me since its the 1st 07 enviermental (EDA) has 2 check and release it 2 dealer he told me 7-10 working days it will be here. I spent so much on every upgrade and kits and wheels 27k in extras or I would FUcn Cancell it. they really pissed me off... by the X i send it 2 have everything done it will be snowing....SUCKS

 

you will have something to look forward to next summer dont beat yourself up about it.. .but this car is going to be hot as HELLL... with the combo you chose and those mod's i'm going to take a trip down to check it out!!!

 

Tony...sounds like bull to me.
You said you ordered the car so I am assuming you wanted specific options..
if you go to www.bmwusa.com and search for NJ dealers there are a few '06 M6's still available(that's if their websites are up to date). A couple black and white ones.

 

07's might have had a problem getting cleared--the new 335's did---did you track the car on BMW owners circle because when you do that it gives you the vin make sure they match---if not get on there and put in your production number you must have one and it will give you the info.. If there is still a problem call the dealer and tell him you want the vin for your new insurance card.

 

Give it time...this stuff happens with new BMW cars....delay at port happens a lot.

Ask for a VIN though....

 

This is a bit strange. My 2007 M6 convertible is an October build car and is scheduled to to arrive at my dealer by November 20 at the latest. As far as I know, no 07 Converts have made it to dealers yet, but who knows about the coupe. But, like everyone here had said, force the vin on them, and if they keep screwing you, buy my car from me!! Good luck with everything.

Diesel didn't you want to try to enjoy the car a bit before throwing all the mods on? From what I have seen with all the kits Available so far... schnitzers, ect. the stock form is much nicer....ohh well post some pics so we can see anyway
