the intake is AWESOME! it looks killer and seems to be very effective. it is huge and has from what was told to me about it, two pasages for air to be suctioned to feed the car. i think that while its very expensive and most people will say its not worth the money, it def is IMO. i can feel that the car breathes much better with it compared to a stock car. as for other intakes, idk bc i dont have experience with anything else. i think that with a full exhaust and a nice tune, this intake is prob the one of if not the most effective on the market.

um ok ...but u misread ! i said headers only without cats. so um ur wrong..i wouldnt use csl cats there 300cel. as oppose to race cats wich are 100cel...or u can run not cat set up as i have... ofcourse u will need software with it but but its well worthit

and on ur intake issue . i think that the stcok air box with a k&n drop in, flows better and is more cost effective then any of those intake out there.

Not when you have full exhaust system, intake, and the ECU tuned, 4.10 ratios.

i must have misread then. either way to each his own. where are you from in PA. maybe we can get a meet going sometime when the weather is warmer and winter is totally behind us. i have SS headers, SS cats which are 200 cell, SS non res sect. 2, and dinan exhaust. i think has great flow, although, i have the SS race exhaut ordered and should be here soon!

thats cool, well have to set something up sometime...basically we have very similar setups. different manufacturers, but same idea...i think the only thing i have based on what you said you have there is the intake, 4.10s and a short shifter. what do you have in terms of susp.? how do you like the race software from D/A?

SuperSprint headers are awesome, gains across the rev band, not just up high or downlow with the different header variants!

  • (L) Euro headers- 5.6lbs
  • (L) CSL headers- 4.6lbs

Not only are they light but some people experience some gains at top end others are saying it's crap. SuperSprint seems to come close in terms of performance, but i rather have a CSL piece on my car. CSL OEM Headers with intake, pulley, exhaust and ECU tuning should bring some good HP.
My 1st post!
I just finished up with this mod just last week & I love it. With a custom tune, CSL headers & HJS cats I gained 31 HP and 23 in the Torq department. The sound is awesome too.
Been under the weather lately, so no sound file, yet!

Welcome to 6speed, do you have any pics of your m3 and csl header setup.

31 hp and 23tq seems to be a little high, thats the kind of power you would get on a EVO, not on a s54 engine. I could be wrong, but I have never heard of such gains with headers and cats.

Not "high" at all for what he did, Evo's get double that just off the tune LOL, the Headers/Cats are extremely restrictive on these cars, with a custom or just a tune and free'd up headers, its a big difference!
