I know the feeling, but I did my homework in finding a pristine example w/ consistent maintenance/ records, there are many BMW parts (discount) retailers on the internet, and I have a competant hi-performance BMW tuning shop local to me. Despite all this, I still will keep my fingers crossed that nothing freakish will happen to this gem.

You've got to scout ebay, autotrader, roadfly.com, and s14.net everyday (search 1988-1991 e30 M3) until you find the one you want.
