I've always been curious...
what happens if you have a light paint scrape or something along those lines. On a regular painted car, a quick buff and polish would work perfect to get those out, but how accomplish that with a matte-colored car?

Is there even clear coat on the paint?

yes there is a clear coat on the paint, if you were to buff or polish a matte finish car it would get glossy

Might as well give that M5 a salvage title. A for effort, but please come back in a year to report on paint durability after washing the dirt particles in the paint a few times, you thought glossy black showed swirls marks...Hope you do not have any leaks or wind noise to deal with now.

What makes you the authority on flat black paint?

Personally, I think anybody who rips apart a brand new $100k car does their research first before painting it...

You should be surprised at the amount of ignorance out there, $100k does not make you smart nor should it imply so. I am no authority on paint or have the desire to be one, however people have gone to far to have a batmobile.

Definitely not a fan or that 360. Also not a fan of tearing a nice looking car apart.
