I've ridden in this vehicle several times.

Surprisingly there is almost no cabin noise. What is unique about this setup is the sound projects 360* around the car. You can hear it from the sides and the front.

The videos don't do any justice. It's a totally different monster in person.

 

Was in my friends car today with the same setup, and I was SHOCKED AS HELL... It totally mutes it out and there is no annoying resonance with windows up, amazing setup!!!!

 

When I first heard the car I couldn't believe it was a BMW. I heard it before I saw it and I assumed it was a Ferrari or some kind of exotic. The tone is very similar to a Ferrari, very high pitched.

You can thank BMW's insulation for cutting off the sound when the windows are up.

I'd have to disagree. The videos dont pick up the true sound of the vehicle, it sounds a bit different in person, in a good way.

It does have some droning and buzzing. But its not bad at all for me. I have a Straightpipe Z06 and that thing has no sound insulation and its loud inside all the time. As you probably noticed in the video, the car does drone on the highway outside.

 

I mean Ive heard the setup from other videos, but the quality of the last one is pretty good compared to other videos. Im trying to convince a friend to do this to his M5.

Continue to try to convince your buddy to get this setup. I can listen to it all day long!

 

I don't know how easy going the cops are over in your area, but you can hear this car from a mile away.
