VF engineering has designed a truly effective Cold Air Intake, improving upon the E46 M3 factory airbox by incorporating its cold-air routing while employing a freer flowing filter element. The results are stunning power gains throughout the rpm range.
This cold air intake system with tune deletes your vehicle's factory mass air flow sensor and tunes it to in Alpha-N, unlocking more horsepower than any conventional cold air intake system will allow. By running in Alpha-N, this intake delivers gains of up to 35 horsepower at the wheels and 25ft/lbs torque. With a discrete, OEM-look, this intake is a fashionable and yet not out-of-place addition under the hood. The integrated airbox features a cone-style filter, allowing for additional airflow over the conventional panel filter - more surface area equals more volume of flow. The included intake elbow allows for fitment with a standard M3 or CSL front bumper.
