Got a X6M F86 and am considering a drop. Nothing aggressive (I don't want to have issues down the road like tire wear, alignment or fast wear out of shocks). I saw on another forum that Dinan guarantees their springs won't cause wear on the shocks. Does anyone else offer that? Could you help me decide between some of the brands you offer? I'd like to compare warranties and amount of drop. Front runner is Dinan, then HR, AC and Ham.

Disclaimer: I've been working on cars for almost 30 years, but I do collision work, and I never "f" with non-OEM stuff. Hence the call out for advice from those who know better.

If DINAN claims to not cause wear on the shocks, we'd suggest going with that. As for HAMANN warranty, it's a 1 year product warranty. It does not cover your OEM shocks.

The only advantage HAMANN has over DINAN is that it lowers it more than DINAN. Otherwise they use the same components, front springs and rear lowering links.

What about AC? Theirs is very subtle, no?

 

AC is great also but like we've mentioned, no one we know of offers a warranty on OEM shocks like DINAN.

We usually sell either HAMANN or AC for these cars.
