Least expensive performance modifications a Cayman S?

Folks-

What is available that is the best band for the buck? I know there are some 3.8L conversions, although i presume other upgrades have to accompany this to compensate for the increase in power. Also - LF offers the GTR, and i love the look of the front end 911-style headlights, as well as the 400 bhp - but they are expensive. There are some supercharger conversions, but nothing all that systematic. TPC is offereing a turbo conversion, but just let's say that they do not have a great reputation in my book. I am concerned that Porsche won't offer an X51 type of conversion for fear of competing with the base 911s.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance. - Gerry

Well, what kind of power, and what kind of budget? Bolt on stuff that is quick, or big boy power? Personally, I wouldnt fool with FI on this car when the x51 swap is an option. To me there is nothing like a big NA motor, and no matter how good the tune, putting FI on a motor designed for natural aspiration just never runs 100% perfect. Beside, from what I know thus far, the FI options for the cayman are nearly as expensive as the motor swap.
