Have any of you repainted your roll bar? Wondering how difficult it would be to change my roll bar to a custom color on a 2008 Boxster S.

Can the roll bar (visible parts) be removed? or is it part of the frame?

I planned on powder coating my carrera s wheels and thought it would be cool to match the roll bar too. (unless this is more trouble than its worth)

i have not personally repainted my roll bar, but it has been done. for 986 boxsters, the roll bar may be unbolted from the floor board and then painted. alternatively, people have masked everything off and then the roll bar is painted.

Actually I was going to powder coat my carrera s wheels and thought matching the roll bar would be cool.. but I'll see when I get the car next month. '08 Meteor Grey w/ Full Black leather... I was thinking a 'graphite' tone powder coating of the wheels, along with powder coating the chrome exhaust tips... I thought maybe the roll bars too... but i'll get a better idea once the car comes and i look at it.. besides, I ordered the roll bar in matching exterior color.. so it migth look better that way and pulling the roll bar might be more trouble (and $$) than its worth...

i think the roll bars painted the same color as the car will look nice. powder coating the wheels, tips, and roll bar the same color may also be a nice effect.
