IF selling my cayman S, 20k svc OR new tires?

i have thought about selling my 2006 cayman S. the car is in great shape. i am just under 20k miles. i realize i need to have the 20k service done but i will also need a new set of tires within 3 months. truthfully speaking, i don't really want to drop $770 on the service and $1800 on tires if i am going to sell the car.

i would like you guys to think like a prospective buyer and tell me if i was only going to do one of those two things, what would be more important?

thanks in advance.

For me...the service is more important. Tires are a personal choice...everyone has brands and models that they prefer....so I would leave it up the the buyer. BTW...Im in the market for a Cayman S.

i rather get the credit and better price, and take it to the shop where i would get ppi done, the work done. I would not care about the tires but more about the service.
that's just me. ..

depends on who you sell it to i guess.

someone who is an enthusiast will want service done to make sure warranty and mechanicals are not harmed. tire is secondary i think...

an avg joe looking for a new ride for the short term won't remember to look at either issue but the price.

if i were u selling it soon, let buyer decide. if it needs to be done soon, do both and use an indept shop to save some $$.

Im not sure I would do either. Its completely under warranty, so paying for a service that won't make much difference doesn't make sense. Change the oil and filter yourself (very easy) and let the buyer take it into their dealer for a checkup when they buy it. Heck, they could say they hear a rattle and tell them to please check the car out while its in..who knows...I wouldn't pay for a service after paying for a Porsche which is still under factory warranty.

I would leave it alone as well since the car is relatively new and still under warranty. As long as you're not driving the car past its service date. The bottom line is what most people look at, especially for a newer car.
