At a gas explosion in Zuffenhauser Porsche factory two employees were slightly injured. Additionally, the production of the 911 series - up to 480 cars are affected.

A gas explosion has at Porsche in Zuffenhausen (Stuttgart) 911-paralysed production. The gas was at a furnace for drying of coatings sheath, the manufacturer announced on Monday (25 February).

Because of the explosion after the sprinkler system was triggered, would have next to the paint shop and parts of the production under water confessed.

For the amount of damage to property was not specified. Production of the 911 series to be at least two to three days rest. The daily production capacity is located, according to the Sportwagenbauers at 160 units.

Two employees were following the incident against five o'clock in the morning with slight injuries in a hospital eingeliert. They were loud Porsche but after a short treatment the hospital again. The cause of the explosion is still unclear.
