Is the dealership warranting all of the aftermarket goodies?
I know BMW backs Dinah equipment and I think Ford backs Saleen or Roush, but I was unaware of a Porsche dealership backing aftermarket parts.

If they are still going to honor the manufacturers warranty that is a great dealership. If they have not specifically written that they will cover the aftermarket goodies, I would ask for that, in writting. You do not want to have something unrelated to the mods break, and the dealership say you have voided the warranty.

1 year Warrenty

The dealer is not doing the Flash .They would not do it .I am having to deal with a local Porsche/BMW/VW Tuner for that and De-snorkel,and The window tint and Rear tail light tint .Dealer would no do any of that stuff due to laws and Liability and Warrenty they said.I would only get the Manufactures warrenty on the Flash (1 year).. Pretty crappy .. I am going to tell him to hold off and get ahold of softronic .Thanks

The flash comes with Sport Chrono throttle response, 10-12 hp, more on 100 race gas, 15hp. Scott also has a flash/plenum/throttle body mod for about $1400-$1500 good for 50hp. There is a list of +80 on Caymanclub.net. Scott really stands behind his products, he will not charge me for another flash, only for the plenum/throttle body upgrade. It's a good thing your dealer did not install a flash, now you can go Softronic. One reason I called you out was I didn't think any dealer would flash a Porsche still under warranty. Us Boxster/Cayman guys gotta stick together.

Well, here's the problem with that... neither a Boxster nor a Cayman are Turismos... they are light vehicles thus the GT would never be built since it is not aplicable to roadsters...

Grand Turismos

I thought GT stood for Grand Touring? Isnt Grand Turismos a Nissan(Japanese) Thing? I have Heard In Germany Gt Is a Term Used to decribe a desirable woman. Good and Tight Or GUTNTIGHT in german ..

GT is Grand Tourers or Grand Turismo (in Italian)... Grand tourers are cars that can travel long distances at high speeds... The FIA definition would allow both cars to be designated GT, but the norm is for a Grand Tourer to weigh over 3500 lbs...

GT Definition

BOY was I off !!!... so Nissan uses the Italian term on the Z car, Interseting .My car is neither over 3500 LBS and is not a long distance high speed vehicle ..What the F.... Maybe I will peel off the GT part on my graphics now .. I like the German version better

They must not be screening new members like they used to... Im going to have a word with Prescott when he and the rest of the EC come here for their spring meeting... seriously though... a PCA sticker has nothing to do with what I was talking about... Im a board member in my region, love the PCA, and sport my sticker in the bottom right of my windshield...

Ok . I was somehow under the notion that 6speedonline Regulars were their own entinty.I have heard they have their own Club Tours/Rallys of sorts due the the fact that they like to Gear it up a little more than the PCA folks who are more conservative.I have been on some PCA Tours in my friends Porsche and we were warned to Chill a little .I wont say the region buy they were cruisers ,More social than anything. Looking for a more Mod oriented group

there are a bunch of euro-ricer forums...

A Porsche is a work of art... and as such it must be respected, along with it's heritage... The lvel of modification is up to each individual... re-badging... less so...

I guess ultimaletlly it's about respect for the marque...
