Convertible top slow.

Today I was going to open the top but it did not open. The dash light were dimming every time I hit the switch. After work I try again and it slowly worked but not enough to turn the dash light off. Then I try to close the top and I had to helped it to shut fully. Do you guys think is lack off lubrication, a bad Relay or my convertible top motor is dying?

If the lights were dimming it may just be a weak battery. I would have the battery tested. If that is all it is then you are lucky because that is the cheapest and easiest fix.

Do you have the same problem whether the engine is running or not? If so, then check the slides for debris or a broken guide

Is the top working now? Were you able to figure out what was causing the problem?

No, I took it to the dealer because they gave me a 30 day warranty. But last time I try to open it it will only open an inch and then sounded like (tic tic maybe relay ). I ll post what was the problem once I hear from the dealer.

The problem is the passenger side transmission. The gearing is broke in half. Can I buy the gearing without buying the transmission?
