2003 CPO Question

I just took my 2003 Boxster S in to have the window lift replaced, and the dealer told me it's not covered by the CPO warranty. Unfortunately I don't have to CPO documentation anymore, and the warranty information on Porsche's site might be different than it was when I bought my car.

Does anyone know if I should be covered? The part number is
996-542-076-04.

Is that at Newport Porsche? I would suggest calling Laura at Hergesheimer and ask her. She has a 'what CPO covers' list. It's a tough call on the regulator. They do list "...all control units for the following...power windows..." from the document here: http://www.porsche.com/usa/pre-owned-vehicles/approved/

I'm actually headed there to get my door window microswitch fixed which should be covered (according to the list). Good luck.

CPO issues can vary from dealer to dealer...lots of things that are not covered and I for one do not put much faith in them - best to have it checked out well either way. But dealers do have some flexibility when deciding if it is covered or not...try another dealer maybe?
