Want to buy a Boxster

Hi guys, i want to buy a car in 5 weeks to replace my old 1995 ****ty car.
i want a Porsche but the Boxster is all i can afford and able to drive. Stupid law in australia doesnt allow me to drive a car above 200kw

I heard of a new boxster comming out but when is it comming out and when will the Prices drop for the 986 and 987??

I cant afford a 987 currently and i am thinking of a 986 then. Most preffered is a Manual black boxster above 2.7L.
if the price of the 987 drop to $60,000 by feb then i will get the 987.

i really need help haha.

I'm not one to tell others what to do with their money, however I would suggest considering some more affordable cars. As much of a p-car fan as I am, I wouldn't want to be stretched thin getting into a 5+ year old car, repairs could surprise you and leave you in a very uncomfortable position. I would want more of a cushion, financially speaking, before I would risk being "car poor." As I've heard it said, you have to work like a slave before you live like a king - I would get a more affordable car this time around and focus on making more or saving more and getting into the p-car you truly want in a few year, rather then settling right now.

I don't know if its a stretch for you but buying a used 986 isn't so bad. yes, maintenance will be more costly than your average car, but if you buy parts online and are handy with a wrench you can reduce that maintenance cost by quiet a bit.

Personally I like the 986 lines more than a 987. A 986 with a factory Aerokit looks the best in my opinion. Too many kits out there just "look" odd.

I like some of the Techart pieces as well.

That could be fun while you save up a bit more and get into a 911.
Although as long as you find a 986 that was taken care of, you shouldn't have too many issues.

This kit is for the 987, not the 986, sorry.
