Big Boy in a Boxster

I'm 6'5" and a fit 260lbs. I'm looking for a Porsche and boxster is one option. Are there any seats wide enough (38"waist) to fit me and as an added bonus drop me closer to the floor a few inches? I fit okay but look a little goofy with the top down.

Thanks for any advice you can offer...

You could always go with an aftermarket seat (Recaro/Sparco/...) and get a bracket to mount to the floor (getting rid of the rails). That would allow a custom fit for the seat and drop you as low as possible. Any race shop should be able to set you up with the seat and fab up the bracket. You will loose fore/aft adjustment in the seat...but that's the price to pay for being a giant.

Dude I was at Ruf in German and they were making a custom seat for a guy that had the same Problem in a carrera gt. There pretty expenisive though. There are also custom race seats shop were they take your denismon and built it so your size.

In a 986, many people like to do the GT3 console delete for extra room, not an option in a 987.

I don't think you'll have a problem in a 987 Boxster - stop by a dealer and ask to sit in one.

987 is much better than the 986 but your still a big dude..........I would almost go 996 over 987. My buddy is 6.6 and fits just fine in a 996 and hates the boxsters. only because of his size of course.
