Interesting, but will you also be welding on the various hangers and threaded studs required to mount the muffler properly at each connection point on the stock setup? The stock setup has several connection points that include clamps at the inlet pipes, threaded studs that connect to a transmission hanger up top, a hanger on each side that mounts to the cat converters, and another rod that connects to the tranny....all making for a solid, rattle free connection. Many aftermarket mufflers also incorporate these studs and hanger connections for an OEM fit.
If that is the final version, then it looks like it will only be connected via the inlet pipes to the cat converters by two clamps. It would also be good to cut slits into each inlet pipe (as you see on the GHL pic below), so that the clamps give a tight seal against the u-pipe connection when tightened down. Also, it would be cool if the dual tips were highly polished and with an angle cutoff, instead of just cut straight across.
