Smokin'

My '04 Boxster has started to emit smoke when I first start in it the morning or after sitting all day. Considerable amount and has only started this in the past few days, nothing noticeable before. Haven't done anything unusual or had any work prior.
Any ideas?

Thanks

If you pass the smoke test, you are fine

See if it is steam only or is it not white smoke and has smell?

It's normal to get a little puff of white smoke. It's burning off oil that was sitting around from the last time you drove it.

At least that's what I was told once. I had the same problem with my 2000 986S.

You really only need to worry if it happens alot (or all the time).
Think of it as an initiation welcome to the club!
