00 boxster s price

What's a fair price for a 2000 boxster s 6spd with 31k on it? There's a nice one for sale local to me, but the price seems a bit step.

A great way to find real market value is look under completed listing for 2000 Boxsters on ebay and see what comes up with similar miles etc. GL

You got a link or more info.
Remember you gotta log in to view completed auctions.
I picked up one on a second chance auction 2001 "s" 58k miles for 12,750
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=250448230780

you have to be logged in to view completed listings I included 2000 and 2001 for a bigger selection and cause they are basically the same.
http://motors.completed.shop.ebay.co...&_sop=7&_rdc=1

Looks like they(sellers) want around $17,000 + for them, Be patient and you will find one.

a silver one with 53k miles just sold for $13,300

WOW this 2000 base went for $9800. it was a no reserve auction and I think the dealer bit the bullet on this one.

Just shows you there are steels all over the place you just have to look.

Yeah 16k is still kind of high for 2000, but the miles are a factor(30k ish). I would set my goal for around 13k and just watch for a while. You can bid on the car up to your goal price and you never know, you might get a 2nd chance offer like I did. You can't get a "YES" if you don't ask the question!!
Just have patience.
You can always contact people on ebay that didn't sell their car. Thats how I got a good deal, I got a second chance auction. He wanted like $16k but my highest bid was $12,750. I was shocked when he asked if I still wanted it. It has 2 years 20k miles left on the extended warranty.

Actually I would go through completed auctions that didn't sell and if you see one you like, I would shoot them an email and ask them what their bottom price is, wait a day or two and counter offer lower. See how desperate they are. I flew out to san fran and drove my box back 2400 miles to Ohio. Wow what a trip!!

2 main reasons people sell their boxsters: 1.) They need cash 2.) Kids(not a family car).
so i doubt we see a drop off in the number of boxsters coming up for sale.
