Tire question Problem

Hello guys,

I am new to the forum and also to Porsche, so this would be my first question, Last week I bought my first Cayman S 08.. today I noticed when I was cleaning the car on the tires it seems like on the side wall almost on the edge all four have cracks like if they where dry.. but it is very rare because the car only has 8k miles, is this an indication that the previews owner was racing the car or something, I was thinking of contacting the Dealer and ask them if I bought a new set they would put it for free as the car was like new I don't why they didnt put new tires on it....

Thanks all

CaymenSKid is infamous around these parts
Do you know if the car sat for a long period of time on the lot? Perhaps it sat for a period of time with low tire pressure making the cracks. Either way i would contact the dealer...

That's a classic case of not enough negative camber, not enough air pressure, and someone who continued to push faster into the corners even though the car was under steering. The tire rolled, and the result is shoulder wear.

The factory alignment is setup to under steer and for longer street tire wear. The previous owner had that car on a track or participated in an autocross, and didn't pay attention to tire pressures or align the car for the intended use.
