The alpine 505 is a wonderful unit. Alpine has extremely high quality, they're one of the best available at common retailers. If I were you I would compare the side by side features of the alpine and stock nav units also. One cool feature of the 505 is the passenger can watch movies while you drive if setup accordingly. I haven't actually checked, but I'm sure scosche makes an adapter harness for your car so when the shop installs the head unit they wouldn't have to alter any wiring and it could be changed back to stock come time to sell the car.

That's what my installer did and when I traded/sold the car last week it was a 1/2 day job to return it back to stock with CDR-31 (or whatever the new on is in the 09 cars). Works flawless as before now.
