Pulled the trigger!!!

2009 Boxster S silver/black with only 5K on it.
should have it next week after the dealer gets the title back.
now it's time to mod! here are a couple pics...
the BMW next to it is my M that i'm trading... if you look closely, you can see a stream of washer fluid dripping from the headlight washer. ;...(

thanks! i'm excited. how would i compare? well it's probably a bit premature... i've had Z4s for six years now and only been test driving boxsters for a few weeks, but.. here is my initial. performance wise... the boxster is SO damn smooth. from how it delivers power, to how it feels and handles. the M is very different... it's kind of a brute, very raw, power and handling wise. as for looks, i always thought the M was a more interesting car, i loved it lines from the day i first saw one. as for the boxster, my wife put it best..."it's a porsche." the boxster has that unmistakable 'porscheness' to it. is it edgy or the most exciting... NO, but it's a classic and i do love it's understated good looks. interior... no question, the boxster wins... i love it. the M's interior is very simple, and starting to feel very dated. i'm really looking forward to getting to know this car. i'm not sure how well know this topgear comparison is... but i think it did a great job of describing the M:

I wish I can do the same. Really want to get in a 997 GT3 soon and get rid of the M3.

It's a 2002 BMW M3 SMG (E46).

It's a great car, but I'm starting to get tired of the 911s getting on the throttle quicker than I can at the track!

I've driven both too and I like how the 911s drive on the track much better than the M3s. It feels like the Porsches were made for the track a bit better than the M3s.

You can compare the brakes between the two: Porsche can stay on the track all day long while the BMW usually has a very hot brake system by the end of the first session.

Don't even get me started on that one. I like the GT3 better, but honestly, I feel like the Cayman S handles and brakes even BETTER!

I just want a fast car from the factory with grunt. The Cayman S is a gorgeous car that skidpads at the same numbers as the Carrera GT. If I were to get a Cayman S, I'd be itching to get the TPC Racing Turbo setup!

Congrats on the car! You're going to love every minute of it!

BIG $$$$ DIF though.... thanks, i'm pretty excited. suck, i have to wait 7-10 days for the title to come before they can register the car. i'm hoping mid net week... then 4-6 weeks for the rims, and soon after the exhaust and i;ll be back in business. i just puuled my stoc M exhaust out of the basement, goes on tomorrow... going to be sad.

Congrats on making a fine decision. What rims and exhausts did you decide on? I got the Modulare M11's front: 8.5x19 rear 11x19.

Good choice on the FVD (export) exhaust. I have one on my 2009 Boxster S and absolutely love it and I know you will too. Enjoy your new Boxster S.
