Over two years in the making. The Global Tuner Grand Prix is taking place at Mazda Raceway @ Laguna Seca on October 22-24,2010.
www.globaltunergp.com

Just like Tuner GP in Europe and Super Lap Battle in Japan.
This is the "Superbowl" of Time Attack type events in North America where tuners, manufacturers, teams, shops, pro's and amateur's will all compete for that lap time around this amazing and historic racing track.

As some of you may or may not know. No sound restrictions at Laguna Seca just does not happen.. Only 4 weekends out of the year which include ALMS, MotoGP, Historics and GTGP are only available.

This is also a spectator event with over 15k people expected to attend the 3 day weekend.

We have teams attending from all over North America as well as teams coming over from Europe and Japan.

6speed shops and sponsors have all been invited- your invitations are in the mail now and will be arriving this week.

If you are not affiliated with a shop and want to run the event you can still run, simply fill out the entry forms on the event website.. This event is not only for pro's but the guys who have experience.

4.5 to 5.0 hours of track time.

With a ALMS style pre-grid on Sunday for the main GTGP event.
All teams and competitors out on track with race ceremonies and the fans will be allowed onto the track to take part in this.

There will also be a GTGP Challenge race 50 minutes on Sunday expect to see some really fast pro cars as well as the big power porsche club cars that don't get to run at the track all muffled up.

Why Laguna Seca? Well its a historic track it shares most of the same elements of Nurburgring in Germany yet on smaller scale and its perhaps the only track in North America where a complete package will be needed to win overall.. Not just horsepower.. You need it all at this track..

The weekend is also supported by a SEMA/PRI Trade show atmosphere throughout the paddock and Yamaha market place. In addition to this if you are a competitor ( tuner, shop or manufacture) and want to have a exhibitor space located next to your paddock you can now do this. It has never been allowed at the track. A great opportunity for companies to showcase there products and services while running there cars and really capturing the spectators.Something you cant do it at trade show.

The event will also host a 350+ VIP car show on Sunday, Car Corrals , Exhibitor booths from some of the top companies in motorsport.
On track events are supported by the Pirelli Drivers Cup and Historic Stock Cars.

Of course it was! But that was years ago

You guys need to run a car in the GTGP thats where all the "tuners" are running.

If Novitec can fly a car out from Germany you can make the trip.. Daytona isnt cheap to win so I know you guys have the budget!
