Need Suspension Advice

I would like to get an adjustable coil over suspension for my 2001 Boxster S. I have an upgraded 3.6 engine making 300 or better RWHP. Not planning on racing but want to lower the car 1 to 1 1/2 inches particularly in back and improve handling without being super stiff. I am currently running 18 x 10 and 18 x 7.5 NB 996 wheels with 17mm spacers in rear, so I need to be mindful of interference. I have an additional set of 18 x 11 ET 62 wheels I would like to try, but I've been told it's impossible with anything other than stock setup. I've heard PSS9 is the way to go. Thoughts, advice experience...............???

I would do more investigation into whether or not the handling will really be improved that much, if any. A lot of times, changing the ride height that much will mess with the suspension geometry and reduce handling.

Hey man,
handling will be improved that much.
Coilovers are almost always the ticket as long as you get decent ones.
Handling will be markedly improved,
just because you improved your springs and shocks.

And, as far as the visual:
