Dead battery and airbag light on 08 RS60

Hello Guys,
The battery is done on my friend's rs60 and it's not taking any charge even after we had it plug on to a CTEK charger for a few days.

While we took the car for inspection. The battery dead and then the airbag warning light went on which caused the car to fail the inspection.

What's the easiest way to reset the airbag light after we put in a new battery? Do I have to go to the dealer for it?

Thanks alot!

unfortunately, a dealer trip or seeing a mechanic or someone w/ the Porsche PIWIS testing equipment is required to reset the air bag light. Durametrics were able to reset them on the 9x6 series but I'm not so sure they can or not on the 9x7 series...

Durametrics will do it .I have had to do mine several times .
the stock Porsche battery's just dont seem to last more then 1.5 to 2 years . I installed a interstate battery this time and iam very happy now

last time my batterry went dead my air bag light came on and TPC system says learning as well .Tried re-setting it several times and even using my buddys durametrics professional version to turn it off with no luck .
Been driving around with the TPC light on for 4 months now .
Did some research and I am thinking its the front control unit .car is out of warrenty now ,dam

Thanks alot! My buddy doesn't have a durametric cable and mine is only for a single VIN. I will see if he can purchase one, but he's not a guy like us here that like to mess with our cars.

Thanks! I put a new battery in there and the warning light is still there. The cable I got came with my flash, so it's for a single VIN. I will have to get it to the dealer next week. Happy new year everyone!
