DeSnorkle Help - How do I remove the side air ducts - 2003 Boxster S

First off- I tried using search & google - no real help for the 03. All pics were for earlier models which have a different config.
Secondly, does this thing even have a snorkle? If so, we (me/my son - its his car) are looking to pull it. If not, it does not
matter as we are planning on swapping the side vent for CV versions - so, question still stands - How do we remove the left side vent from the exterior panel?

NOTE - We did take the screw out and pull on it for a good 10 min. We got it to pull away from the rear quarter a few millimeters but nothing more.

Any and all help welcomed!

thanks man - i saw that page but it looks like its for the older 2 piece design. The 03 has the air veins blended into the total exterior vent.

This is the newer 986 design and the type I am trying to remove:

I know, mine is an 04 and they are similar if you read the instruction it has 2 sets A for 97-99 and B for 2000+
