Finally got my cue ball style shift **** 'FIX'!!

Ordered this on Ebay Motors. TechArt ball complete with grey boot.

I am very happy with not only the feel...but the look is sweet too!!

Just wanted to share.

Looks good. But have a sock ready in the glove box, esp. in summer - something about metal being a good heat conductor. You can put the sock on the **** or your hand (like a sock puppet) to achieves the same result - no burned hand.

 

Thanks man!! Yeah, you are so correct on that. I did carry a sock in my Cobra with that same style **** years ago! Plus...lived in AZ.!!

 

It's funny too....just thought of this. I am so fussy on fit and finish...I cut the side out of a Sprite bottle and 'lined' the inside of the **** to fit more snug down over the shift lever. Then along with the hidden set screws, torqued 'em down very snug, along with red Loctite! Gotta RE-engineer this stuff!
