Good Deal?

I was at a Porsche / BMW / Benz Dealer today to look at an 09 M3 and an 05 911 c2. M3 had to many chips, scratches and the 997 turned out to be a very dark green color, but while I was there he showed me a brand new '12 Boxster base. Sticker was $58k, pretty loaded car w/ sport seats, 6 speed, 18's, premium pkg, upgraded sound, xenons, nav, heated seats / steering wheel, storage box, wind deflector, etc. They are offering it for either $48k purchase or $595/mo for 36 mo lease with only $800 due at signing. Car is brand new with ~100 miles and is triple black. Been looking at 08's mainly since they are low $30's now but this (while more than I wanted to spend) is fairly tempting.

Before I decided to buy the 2013 model, I actually looked at the 2012’s. A pretty loaded S was available for about 55-58K. A non S model I think is about 10-12K less than an S.

Point is, I guess 48K is a decent price from what I’ve seen.

Think they've got more room in the car?

there is another dealer with a new, demo 11 S loaded (nav, sport-chrono, PDK, etc) for $58k but with 2000 miles, so its inline with what you've seen.

If I may ask, what made you decide to go with the 981 instead?

They're giving you 10K of so it's a little less than 20%. It's a good deal. How many miles are they giving you per year?

Simple actually... I was about to pull the trigger on a 2012 for about 58K. I think I could have pulled off a 52-54K for a 2012 S.

I started looking at the 981 and I figured it wouldn’t be much more.... :roll eyes:

By the time I chose all my options, I was a hair over 80K. I know it’s 30K more but I’m getting the new body style with the options I want... and since I’m putting about 30K down, it won’t be too bad on payments.

The difference between the 2012 and 2013 was enough to justify the extra cost IMO.

In either case, you’re getting an awesome car.
