It appears they are going up and around instead of going straight through the english channel. I'm not a sea captain so I don't know. Just seems to me the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
Ha, what do I know?
Mark
Seriously, if we take the art of Great Circle navigation into account:
What appears to be a straight line on a map is not the shortest route in reality. The shortest route between two points on the northern hemisphere is really following an arc to the north... it appears that they are doing just that.

Oh, I agree.. no doubt in my mind they know what they're doing but to a person with no water navigation ability at all, just "looked" better my way...LOL.

Mark, you need to know something now, are you sitting down?...in a day or so, its going to go out of range so there may not be any updates while it crosses the Atlantic.
I know, I know, just take a deep breath and just be prepared for this.
Mine is on the Olympic Highway (ironic isnt it?) and there were no updates for around a week, it even stopped in port at Brunskwick with no update. It finally updated and is now off the coast of Florida with a 8/5 ETA into Houston.

What is this "out of range" you speak of??I'm looking for some zanex now....lol.

Mark,
You have been remarkably patient considering how long you have been waiting. I can promise you the pain of waiting will soon be a distant memory. It will be worth the wait

It's all cool. I joke around but it gets here when it gets here. I'd like it to be sooner since I'm sick of driving my truck and everyday the weather is perfect to let the top down, I lose that much more driving time.
Not a very patient person. The last 2-3 new cars I bought, I had to dealer locate because I couldn't wait for them to build. I actually had considered a new C7 Corvette because I could get one quicker. But honestly... I'm Corvetted out. Time for a change.
So whatcha sayin?

I saw this last night before I went to bed.

And this morning, the dreaded out of range thing happened. My wife wasn't annoyed that I kept looking it up. It's the helicopter rental of me flying over the ship every day to make sure it's okay that she's getting pissed at.

Mark
You took screenshots of the ship, inside and out, and HE's the one who has much time to spare? lol
You will need it. For a few days, it will be out of range. My car onboard the Cosmos Venture went through a bad storm and I worried until it reappeared off the coast of Nova Scotia. Tomorrow morning at 10:00 my wait will be over and by noon I should be driving a new Agate grey 981S home!
