997 vs Cayman Brake & Suspension Compatibility???
997 vs Cayman Brake & Suspension Compatibility???
I have full suspension and brake assembly from 997 S. Does any one know if these parts will be a direct bolt-on swap into a Cayman Chassis? I have Complete Knuckles and Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers with the Carrera S brake setup and Lower Control Arms.
Will both front and rear knuckles and brake setups fit?
If they do fit will I need to swap over Brake Master Cylinder and Proportioning Valve?
Thank You in advance.
I'm looking for shared knowledge and information. Not criticism and negative opinion. Please if you don't have anything useful to tell me save your negative criticism for someone who will listen.

The front suspension will all bolt on. As far as I know, the rear is not a bolt on in any way! The design is totally different. There is no advantage to the front lower control arms or the hubs. You are better off buying an aftermarket brake system if you want Carrera-like brakes. Most people want to firm up the braking and they change the master cylinder to the 997 GT3 one. If you want to sell those front hubs and they are from a Carrera S, then let me know. I can use them in a project.
