This is a situation I am caught in now, I drive a boxster all year long and a 928 s4 as my summer car. But recently I'm thinking of selling the boxster because I want something that's more fun, either a 996 TT, Gallardo or a R8, but I don't know if I ever gonna regret it, I mean boxster is such a good handling car

They r such good cars aren't they? I was also looking to keep the boxster and get one other car but just running out of room, coz we already have 4 cars in the house lol, I wish I get weather here like south CA then parking the car outside is not a problem at all!

They really are! I love the 'S' way more too...we had a '98 regular Box (the exact same color) and it was not as much fun to drive as the 'S'. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT hate'n, they're all wonderful cars, it's just after being on my 2nd 540 horse GT500, the power sorta spoils ya.

Here is a pic of our last Box. I had just installed the Cayman 'S' wheels and we got called to move to Toronto. So we let her go!

Well welcome to Canada where the winter months gets ridiculous, I don't know how bad it is compare to edmonton lol. I have the standard box and it's a good town car to drive all year long and actually amazing in the winter, and I totally agree with you it feels nothing like the V8 928 S4 that I drive in the summer, was thinking that if I don't sell it I might as well pass it on to my brother when he gets his licence next year . But yea, I'm really liking the mid engine monster like R8 or G because of how good the boxster is at handling

One last thing...an observation really, and MHO...

It appears after owning two Porsche's that the majority of the Porsche community wants these cars 'pure' and 'stock'. Therefore, I have really not done alot to mine. The car only has a scant 16k on it as well, and shows as NEW. Just another reason to leave 'er alone.

I went from

911 (2001-2003)
to G35 (2003-2008, because GT-R wasn't out, yet)
to GT-R (2008-present).

... with a sprinkle of other cars here and there, but those were my main daily drivers.

It was nice having my car in my garage more often than at the dealership (I had a less than stellar experience in 996C2).

Dr. Bill, did we trade emails on TTRS set-ups last year?

It was a fast car, but it lacks the chassis he Cayman R has.

DD a 1998 993C4S Aero in the Northeast for 18 months. Killed my back so traded it out for a V8 Audi S4 Avant. Love it and never looked back! Flies under the radar, just as fast, insane AWD, incredibly versatile. Still kept the 993TT though
