just got an 2006 Cayman S

hello everyone,

I just moved from a 2002 Boxster S to a 2006 Cayman S. I had been looking for the right car for months and I finally found it. Its arctic silver with black leather. I did the inspection myself ( ASE certified master mechanic w/25 yrs exp) and pulled the trigger.

I look forward to learning from all of you the nuances of this car. I don't plan to do much in the form of mods, maybe exhaust.

Hello,
first congratulation on your purchase! car looks great!
I'm currently in a process of closing a deal on 2007 cayman s and looking to travel 400+ miles to see the car for itself on this saturday. I read you are a mechanic expert! Could you please name few things to look out for 07 cayman s?
I am buying from a big and wellknown BMW dealership, but wondering whether i should take it to porsche dealership close by to get PPI done or not.

Your wise tips will be much appreciated. Thank you so much. have fun with your new cayman.
Thank you.

Congrats on the addition. Im not sure if you were able to get your previous Porsche Boxster out for a track day but there is no question the Cayman S will be so so fun to drive on the track.

Hi kero1017,

If I didn't have access to one of the sellers lifts as I did with my deal, I would have had the nearest Porsche dealer do a PPI. If only to verify that you buying a clean car.
