water ingress

Hi to all,

I own a 2000 Porsche Boxster and I just found out that when I park the car specially at a downhill angle, and it rains, the carpet behind the passenger seat is getting wet, at times a fair bit if it rains for long or heavily.

Any suggestions where to start looking for leaks please?

Thanks and cheers,
Rob

Hi mate and thanks for the reply. Can you please tell me where the drains are? I'm still learning about this car :-).

Thanks and cheers.

Here is a good drain diagram that Mike came up with that shows you everything.

Not a problem, I hope you get it figured out. Let us know if that did the trick.

I did the cleaning and did find two leaves in the left hand side drain hole. Cleaned the lot and also discovered the water is coming in through the channel where the roof top runs.

Unluckily, it looks like it didn't solve the problem since we had to have a heavy downpour yesterday and a fair bit of water has come in, and probably, got my electronic box wet :-(.

My car today started having hunting at idle and I don't know if that box has anything ti do with that at all.
