GSR Autosport - Boxster Spec Racing Build #27

The Team at GSR is starting their 27th BSR (Boxster Spec Racing) build. As usual our Fabricator did a great job on the safety cage! With the suspension installation completed we move on to dropping the engine and transmission for the next phase of the build.

Keeping it Kool - CSF Aluminum Radiator Upgrade

Time to upgrade the cooling system...

Finally!!! An all-aluminum radiator for your 986 Boxster or 996 911. We've spent months working with CSF Radiator on a front radiator design that would be as efficient as the stock unit (ours is approximately 15% more efficient), support attachment of all stock components such as fan shrouds and A/C condensers, critical to our design - to be much more durable than the stock units and finally, swappable between left and right so you only need one spare when at the track.

Similar custom aluminum race radiators can cost over $1,000 each. We have had to replace many failed stock radiators over the years. A common failure point of the stock units is the plastic pin that is formed into the inboard plastic end tank that fits into a female receiver on the chassis. Any shock to the chassis can crack this pin and instantly your coolant is watering down the asphalt. We've also grumbled over the years about having to bring both left and right radiators as spares. The innovative swappable fixtures designed by GSR and CSF allows you to use the radiator on the left or right by simply switching two fixtures.
