bonnet stays

hello,

today i collected my first porsche and its a cayman. i am over the moon, its not new but we all must start somewhere. it is 2008.

my query is that when i lift the front luggage compartment should they pneumatic gas trusts hold the bonnet up because they don't.

i also have a small water leak from under the near side under the front seat. I am Dubai so i have a right hand drive model. i have read that it is from the air con. i am a little worried thou.

many thanks in advance.

Bonnet does stay up when opened (see pic below). Sounds like you have weak or bad struts. The 'leak' does sound like the A/C. You can check the puddle to see it is just water or has antifreeze in it, you will know by the smell.

Thanks Matt,

I did smell the water and there was no odour but with me just collecting it I'm not sure if all he's been topping it up with is water. ill check the puddle in the morning.

thanks again
