718 boxster s build

working on the build sheet for a perspective 718 boxster s purchase. Any comments on the PASM vs Sport PASM options. PASM has a 10mm suspension drop, where the Sport PASM has a 20mm suspension drop, both have normal and sport settings, price differentinal is 2-300 bucks.

Do you think you will ever drive the car on a race track

The fact of the matter is that driving on the street, we probably never utilize more than 70% of the capabilities of these cars. Maybe not even that much. When you take it to the track the percentage gets higher and that is were the additional lowering will have a benefit. Even for aggressive street driving, the 10mm drop is probably plenty.

Yeah I agree with your comment, 90 percent of my driving will be street, my big concern is whether there is any negatives to the additional drop. I like the look of the lower stance, hard to know if there will be any differences between the normal and sport mode between the two different PSAMs, I dont want any overly stiff Normal setting for comfort reasons for longer drives. Since this is a new option not much on the web about it.

Performance options are generally more desirable at resale time. For the small price difference, I would go sport for that reason.
