Cayman with 4.2-liter 911 engine

One of the HP writers found a video documenting a pretty sick Cayman build. In place of the stock unit, Road Scholars dropped in a 4.2-liter 911 motor, and they also added a widebody kit so they could fit some fatter rubber. I wish there were more specifics in this video, but hey, when it comes like this, I'll take what I can get.

Figured there'd be a little more interest in this. I think the platform is ready for more HP...

While the car can handle more power it is a rather expensive process to get the engine to make more power.

While the 4.2l engine swap (no replacement for displacement!) is mildly interesting I expect it cost a pretty penny.

The engine was followed by wider tires with a body kit to accommodate the tires. Possibly bigger brakes were added -- I didn't view the clip though so I'm just guessing -- which just adds to the cost.

Not saying the swap's a bad one it is just not something the average Cayman enthusiast is going to really consider when if it comes time to think about adding more power.

I've lurked this site for years and finally decided to register since I had information about this car. A few days ago I came across this car and found a link that had more information about it.
