Wheel Offset

Wheel Offset
Definitely getting rid of the ugly 2014 wheels. I see the latest models are using the spoked wheels...much more attractive.
The question is about offset.
One wheel is 40mm, the other is 55mm. How is this measured ?
It's the Ultraleggera HLT model

I was unaware that front and rear were different widths.
Strangely, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are on closeout/special.
Given their stupendous ratings.....what does that mean ?

As for wheels, yes they are always different widths front and rear. At least with OEM you get the appropriate offsets/clearances and for the most part they are aesthetically pleasing.
