Pdk....

It seems that all of the Cayman s 8 look at have the PDK tranny. Is that normal? I have looked at 20 on line and have not seen one manual. Any info would be great. Thanks.

The 6 speed manual tranny has always been offered on the Cayman/Boxster. I think Porsche expects the majority of sales to be PDK, but you can still find manuals. Keep looking!

You ain't looking in the right place. See the link below.

I didn't confirm but I specified in the search a 6-speed manual transmission so some of these are 6-speeds. Not all are 2008's though. There are some 2006's and 2007's. My recollection is from 2006 to 2008 the models were pretty much the same, although when I bought one it was a 2008 Cayman S because I wanted a new one.

There were IMS modifications between 06 and 08. Of the first gen 987s, best to get the latest model as possible. Not that this matters if the OP is looking at PDK cars, he's looking at second gen DFI cars. Of note, don't forget about the 2012 Cayman R (second gen). It's the clear winner of all Cayman 987s.

When I was looking earlier this year, I stayed away from all older boxsters that did not have the IMS upgraded. I am glad I went with a 2014 model. To me, all older boxsters are ticking time-bombs.
