Pulled The Trigger On New Cayman T

Last Friday I officially order a new Cayman T. Production will commence on June 26th and deliveries to the US will be in the Oct/Nov timeframe. My wife decided on Miami Blue with GT Silver interior accents including seat stitching, 718 Logo in headrest, door pulls and seat belts. I've been driving PDK Porsches for years but this time I decided to go with the 6 speed manual transmission. The only unanswered question is whether the new Cayman T will be designated as model year 2020 or 2021. The General Manager of my local Porsche dealership thinks the latter because they are arriving so late in 2020. In any case I am really lookin for to the day when I will be behind the wheel.

The only saving grace is I currently drive a 2018 Cayman which makes the wait a little easier.

Stopped by my local dealer today and learned that the Cayman T that I recently ordered will be designated as a 2021 model and that once it's produced the Miami Blue color will be discontinued and replaced by a different blue color.

Received a call today from my Porsche Sales Associate to tell me that the Porsche internal portal will open on June24th to place the official order for my 2021 Cayman T and production will start on June 26th. Now the wait official begins.

Since the final order will not be entered into the Porsche system until June 24th, I decided to add $3,730 to the build and get PDK instead of the 6 speed manual. This will be my daily driver and I felt that the PDK would be a better option for me.
