I was test driving the cayman the other day and the amount of attention it got was crazy. Was at the gas station and like 3 people came to check the car out. I really like the exhaust note. it's really a nice car.

BTW, how much is this techart kit for the cayman?

here's an edit/answer to my inquiry: the rear bumper is the stock euro-spec bumper, that's why there is no part number at the tech art catalog.

In light of this another question rises: are there only two types of oem rear bumper? us spec and euro spec? If the car is not from US, is it safe to assume it's a euro spec bumper?

ARE YOU JOKING...its hella sick..but not 10k SICK... seriously boys and girls this kit costs 10k for just parts alone at CEC... Front bumper is about 4k+ the wing is almost 3500 unless you get the cooler one for 5k... MY GOD...thats just insane... You know what I can do to a car for 10k in mods.. who makes a knock off... If i can get this kit for under 6k..I am down to do it and smack on turbos to that bad boy.. YIPPIE

Yes 10K is definetely a LOT but IMO it's worth the money...adds so much points to the Cayman style!

Just got the word from my boy, the kit will retail for

290 - mirror (per)
1260 - sides
6000 - frontbumper (with carbon and xenon fogs)
4500 - wing (carbon wing...non carbon is 3800)

Grand total = 12050.00+install+paint.

So at the end of the day, you are probably looking @ 15k....(but that would be full retail...who pays retail???? hahahhaha)

Guess it really depends on what people think a body kits worth. Me personally, after all this money on the kit + all mods to make is faster....

why not just pick up a 997?

OK, we all want a cool Cayman. Who is friends with the guy in Asia that is making these things for CEC for $300 bucks? Get him and you get the hook up!

On another note, my wife and I were mountain carving in a Cayman in the Swiss Alps this spring. Can say the the Cayman is the next tuner car- cheap to buy (in relative terms) and can be turned into a beast!

Hurry up, ya'll and buy a buch of them so the aftermarket scene will bless us with a lot of cool stuff for cheap...:-)
