Wheel Spacers?

Anyone have any opinions on wheels spacers to push the 18" Turbo wheels out a little bit?

Pro's, Con's and a good place and brand to buy?

Thanks!

Porsche Tequipment offers spacers for the 996TT and so do most tuners. I have heard, however, that they can mess up your steering, but I haven´t heard an explanation for that one. Ruf uses them on their RTurbo though.

Not sure what sort of reply you are looking for....neither is anybody else...so you get little info.

Yes spacers work. They will move your wheels out and look pleasing to some people. Other don't like the look. It will not mess up your steering, tho it does increase the track whch can have an effect on ackerman and turn-in. Unless you are racing you will not notice this...even then, many racers are not intune enough to notice. Be careful that you do not go too large as this will effectively shorten your wheel bolts and you will also need to increase them to compensate. Make sure you use hub-centric spacers that match your wheels inner hub correctly, or you risk breaking wheelbolts and injury. Consider fender rub as well when determining size. 5mm is usually plenty... BBS make nice spacers, as do many other companies, FVD has many as well and can help you with your application.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much Dave. I know very little about them and was recommended them after the Aero kit addition to line up the wheels a bit with the side skirts.
